A New Way for Google Search – BERT Algorithm Update
October 26, 2019 12:54:08 PM
BERT May Be Just the Beginning!
Google announced (Twitter) a new way for Google Search to better understand language and improve SERP results, it's BERT. The BERT algorithm update is impacting 10% of search queries and now it’s being implemented in the US in English. In the future, it will be used in more counties and languages.
What is BERT algorithm?
BERT stands for Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers, and it’s a Google algorithm. BERT is related to natural language processing (NLP) and it’s responsible to analyze search queries, not web pages. Google wrote about it last year in more detail over here.
Since more users are using voice search, this technology will be the best choice to handle this behavior.
